This policy explains the cookies we use on the Elium website (elium.com) and the choices you have. It does not cover the Elium platform that customers sign in to. For that, read the Platform cookie policy.

Elium is based in Belgium. This website follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679) and the Belgian Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications.
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser when you open another page or return later. Some cookies are needed for the site to work. Others are optional and only measure how the site is used.
We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
These two cookies are needed for the website to work the way you asked it to. We do not ask for consent, because without them the site cannot remember either your language or your cookie choice.

Both are first-party cookies. They stay on elium.com and no other company can read them.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website: which parts of a page people read, where they click, and which pages confuse them. Clarity records mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages you open, then replays that back to us as a session. The recording carries a random identifier rather than your name, but it is still personal data and we treat it as such. We use it only to improve the pages themselves, never to build a profile of you.
Clarity is optional. If you reject cookies, we do not load Clarity at all, so it sets nothing and records nothing.

We also use PostHog to understand how the website is used across visits: which pages lead to a demo request, where people drop out, and which changes actually help. PostHog counts pages and clicks; it does not record your screen the way Clarity does.
PostHog is optional in the same way. If you reject cookies, we do not load it at all, and if you change your mind after accepting, we erase its cookies and stop counting straight away.

Two things about our PostHog setup.
ph.kp-sandbox.com, a host we control, rather than PostHog's own domain.Finally, we use Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager is not itself a measurement tool: it is a loader that lets us add or remove measurement tags without changing the website's code. The tags we load through it measure how the site is used, and may set Google Analytics cookies.

Two things about our Tag Manager setup.
ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) stay refused, whatever a tag asks for, so tags cannot use your data to build an advertising profile. If you withdraw consent we refuse analytics storage too and delete the Google cookies.Three things you should know about how we have set Clarity up.
Some pages load a service from another company. These services set no cookies, but your browser has to connect to them, so they do receive your IP address.
Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. The banner opens again and you can accept or reject.
If you reject after having accepted, we delete the Clarity cookies straight away and the recording stops. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting, and it costs you nothing.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser explains how in its own help pages. Keep in mind that this does not tell us your choice, so our banner will ask you again.
Setting optional cookies means processing personal data, so you have rights over that data. You can ask for access to it, correction of it, or erasure of it. You can also object to the processing, ask us to restrict it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Our Privacy policy explains each right and how to use it.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority at autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
