Carbon footprint
Every year, the German outfit Global Changer runs our carbon audit. The numbers tell us where we stand. The actions tell you we mean it. Since 2021, we've ditched company cars for a smarter mobility plan. We've embraced remote work so thoroughly that our office footprint has shrunk by 66%. And we've consolidated our IT infrastructure into two green data centres – because servers don't need to burn the planet to do their job.
The result? We've dropped our CO2 emissions (market based) from 62.3 tonnes in 2021 to 53.4 tonnes in 2024. Not perfect. But progress you can measure. And we're not stopping here.

EcoVadis score – Silver grade, top 15%
Our CSR scoring
We joined EcoVadis – the global standard for corporate sustainability ratings – to make our sustainability work measurable. First assessment in June 2022: we scored 45. Market average.
By 2025: we hit 70. Silver grade. Top 15% of rated companies worldwide. A 25-point jump driven by concrete progress across environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement. Next assessment: we're ready to push further.
Social team contributions
Taking a day off work is always a welcomed break from the daily grind. It can also be a way to give back to the community. Donating our time to a charity or non-profit organization can be incredibly rewarding, and can make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
As part of our Coral programme, the company offers the possibility to all Eliumers to take one extra day off per year to help a good cause. It's also the occasion for a team building activity since we encourage the Eliumers to do it in small groups.
Natagora
Participation in natural habitat maintenance managed by this highly respected organisation.
Help Animals
Assisting with feeding abandoned or mistreated animals (sheep, cats, goats, pigs, cows, horses) and helping clean their enclosures.
Oxfam
The charity focused on tackling global poverty, where we help sort and distribute food and clothing.
Nethen Sandpit – Natagora
The Nethen sandpit, owned by the Commune of Grez-Doiceau, became a new Natagora nature reserve in 2022. The entire Elium team went there in March 2024 to help with maintenance work.
Froidmont Farm
A team lunch and seminar at Froidmont's farm, where unemployed adults are trained in catering and organic market gardening for socio-professional inclusion. The approach focuses on ecological transition and sustainability.
Nutrition & Wellness Workshop
This dynamism and nutrition workshop provided the Elium team with practical tools and strategies to enhance their vitality and well-being through practical nutrition advice.
